Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) goes independent!

The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers is delighted to announce that, with effect from 1 September 2009, it will be launched as a fully independent Association in its own right.  The first 6 serviced apartment providers joined the Association of Relocation Professionals (ARP) in 2001 and subsequently, in 2005, the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) was established with 13 operators, as a subsidiary of the ARP.   Membership of the Association has grown rapidly in the last 2 years and now has a strong core membership of some 30 operators representing in excess of 5,000 apartments throughout the UK.  Members cover every major city in the UK and range from individual businesses with 20 apartments to international companies with several hundred apartments in most major UK cities.

As the serviced apartment industry has grown, its core market segments have expanded beyond the relocation sector.  The broader corporate market is the primary source of business for most ASAP members with leisure playing an increasingly important role, particularly at key off-peak times of year in certain UK cities.

Companies are increasingly choosing apartment suppliers who are members of the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP)  – every member is fully committed to the Association ‘charter’ where all members guarantee to offer a high quality product and commit to a proper code of conduct which gives clients all-important quality reassurance.

David Smith, City Apartments Limited, continues as Chairman of the Association which will be governed by an Executive Board.

The Association’s new website will be launched next month.
