ETA fee increased to £20 from April 8, 2026

The UK’s Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), mandatory for the majority of visa-exempt travellers including from Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia, has now risen in price from £16 to £20.

The government also decided to revise the legal caps on several immigration and nationality fees with rises generally ranging between 6% and 7%.

The standard short-term visit visa (up to six months) will increase from £127 to £135.

Long-term visit visas follow the same trend:

  • 2 years: £475 to £506
  • 5 years: £848 to £903
  • 10 years: £1,059 to £1,128

These adjustments apply across all visit visa categories, including travel for tourism, business, or family purposes.
