Research shows half of hotel guests prefer to order takeaway or eat elsewhere

Zonal’s latest Go Technology report, conducted among 5,000 nationally representative British consumers in September 2024, reveals that 35% of guests thought room service was too expensive, while over a quarter complained about limited menus. It also found that only 71% of staying guests were happy with the quality of food and drink on offer.

However almost half of people surveyed said discounts on food would encourage them to eat at their hotel.
