Staycity secures £77m loan for expansion

ASAP Operator Member Aparthotel business Staycity has secured a £77m loan from OakNorth Bank with a view to triple in size over the next five years.

The company recently announced the acquisition of a 74.9% stake in the Felix Group, giving it properties in Leipzig, Dresden, and another site under construction in Vienna, while this year it will open Wilde properties in Amsterdam, Cambridge, Lisbon, Porto, and Vienna with further London locations, a site in Bordeaux, and another in Oxford under development.

ASAP Operator Member Supercity is set to open a new 46-suite aparthotel property in York later this month, on a site previously held by vacant commercial units, including a van hire centre and a restaurant. Supercity’s portfolio includes eight aparthotels across London, Manchester, Leeds, Brighton and Edinburgh, and t he company was recently ranked 16th in the list of the top 30 employers in The Caterer’s Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2026 survey.
