Cornish MPs demand ‘Airbnb bill’ to force second-homeowners to get planning permission

Although perceived as an affluent holiday destination, Cornwall is one of the most impoverished parts of the UK where many of the locals are priced out of a home.

Four Cornish MPs have proposed an ‘ Airbnb Bill’ requiring people who own second homes to the west of the River Tamar, and other nearby holiday hotspots, to obtain permission to change them from a primary residence into a holiday home.
